Welcome to Cobra Shotblasting & Site Services Ltd (formally known as Viper Coatings Ltd) specialists in all areas of metal treatment services and facilities such as shot blasting, paint spraying throughout Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and the rest of the UK.
We have been in the trade since 1985 and have a wealth of knowledge and trade experience. We offer all types of services for steel work, such as shot blasting, paint spraying in order to enhance the appearance and lifespan of your metal fabrications and structures.
Shot Blasting
Shot blasting is a cost-effective way to prepare steel and some other materials prior to the application of a protective or decorative coating. We can remove any existing deteriorated coatings or remove iron oxide and heavy rust from most steelwork.
Paint Spraying
Paint spraying is best used for steel work requiring levels of minimal maintenance. Your construction will be treated with paint that is suitable for the environment, dependant on the location of the structure.
Time Scale
The time scale of our shot blasting and spraying services vary. We normally treat 20 tonnes per day, meaning the size of structure, together with the treatment required will determine your estimated turnaround time. Upon speaking with us, we will be able to give you an estimated time scale for completion.
Types Of Materials
There are limitations to the types of materials that can undergo the shot blasting process. If your metal fabrications are not the same material throughout (steel for example), it may not be able to go through the shot blasting process. If your structure does have other materials within its design (such as Aluminium), it will require additional blasting treatments.
On-Site Services
All types of spraying must be done on-site. We can perform our spraying service at the structure location if in a sheltered environment. However, smaller blasting jobs can be done at the structure location and then roller painted if the dismantling of the object is not viable.
